I LOVED doing this project. You have no idea. Scratchboard is so fun - if you get a chance, you have to try it.
Art class, photo reference, photo by Mr. Curless, blah blah blah.
That...is awesome!!! The texture is perfect, and it looks as if it would just jump right out at you! Perfect job! I especiallu like how detailed the eyes are- you can see the different individual shades that make up the eye. Fantastic!

"You found the notice, didn't you?"
"Yes. It was on display at the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on a door saying 'Beware of the leopard'. Ever thought of going into advertising?"
It's a white piece of posterboard-like paper (much smaller though- smaller than a piece of notebook paper), covered in black paint or something. You scratch it off with an x-acto knife and it reveals the white underneath.
Remember in Kindergarten when you'd make rainbows on a paper and then colour over it with black crayon, and scratch off stuff with a paperclip so the lines would be rainbow-coloured? It's kinda like that.
If you went through elementary school not doing that, man did you miss out.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
